This three-day instructor-led intensive course provides the knowledge and skills necessary for SMS specialists to plan and deploy Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 into large enterprise environments.
Target Audience:
This course is intended for systems engineers with one to three years of experience supporting multiple desktop and server computers running Microsoft Windows in medium to large enterprise organizations, and who have a need to plan an SMS deployment.
Pre-requisites:
Before attending this course, students must have:
Completed Course 2596, Managing Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003, or have equivalent knowledge
Completed Course 2279, Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure, or have equivalent knowledge
System engineers should also have strong working knowledge of:
IP addressing. This is covered in Course 2151, Microsoft Windows 2000 Network and Operating System Essentials.
Windows 2003 core technologies. This is covered in Course 2273, Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment.
Windows 2003 networking technologies and implementation. This is covered in Course 2277, Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure: Network Services.
