Overview:
Virtualization technology from VMware provides organizations with the ability to run multiple guest operating systems on one or more host x86 32/64 bit architecture servers. Best in class IT business units are rapidly embracing the cost and flexibility benefits that server consolidation can provide. Soon understanding a virtualization hypervisor its management overlay will be as important as client/server computing itself. This course covers not only the core components of a virtualising product in VMWare ESX but also the key peripheral areas of concern; virtual networking and security, storage and resource scheduling.
Target Audience:
• IT Managers and Operations Managers accountable for server consolidation
• System Administrators who manage server consolidation systems
• System Architects assessing enterprise server consolidation for their organization
Pre-requisites:
  • Basic understanding of client/server computing architecture.
