Terms and Conditions

Should you have any queries in regards to the below terms and conditions please consult your New Horizons Learning Solutions Advisor on 1300 794 006.

  1. All bookings for New Horizons courses must be supported with a customer completed and signed (by an authorised signatory) “Registration Form”.
  2. All bookings must be supported with a company/organisation Purchase Order. It is the responsibility of the individual authorising the Registration Form to obtain and forward such documentation at the time the registration form is submitted. The Purchase Order number must be filled out on the Registration Form. The Purchase Order must be sent to New Horizons Learning Centre, to verify that the authoriser has their company’s authorisation to accept New Horizons terms and conditions, with or following the Registration Form.
  3. Following receipt of the fully completed Registration Form details, New Horizons Learning Centre will send a course confirmation letter to the attendee.
  4. The course booking Registration is accepted subject to each course attendee meeting all the course pre-requisites. The pre-requisites are detailed on New Horizons Learning Centre course outlines. It is the responsibility of the authoriser on the Registration Form to ensure that all pre-requisites are met prior to the course.
  5. All Payments must be received PRIOR to course commencement. Failure to pay will result in the student being asked to leave the course and full fee payment for the course will be required.
  6. New Horizons Learning Centre reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrolments / alter the date or change price of any course, without any penalty to New Horizons.
  7. Any attendee or person, unbecoming of conduct or disruptive to the orderly progress of the course may be asked to leave.
  1. We accept payments using Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners cards. Please note there is a 3% surcharge for transactions made using American Express cards.
  2. Payment is taken at the time of purchase.
  3. To ensure protection of your credit card details, credit card payments  are processed using a secure, third party payment gateway service called  Payway run by St. George Bank. New Horizons does not host credit card details after processing.

  2. All requests for transfers or course cancellations must be received in writing by a duly authorised person from the nominating organisation.  
  3. Cancellation or reschedule of any New Horizons course requires a minimum TEN complete business days written notification to info@nhaustralia.com.au prior to the course date, to ensure that the course is rescheduled without penalty.  Less than TEN FULL business days’ notice will result in no refund and no rescheduling.
  4. The conditions of course prerequisites and payment PRIOR to course commencement apply to transfers. 
General Terms and Conditions
  1. This special offer expires on 30th June, 2016.
  2. Microsoft Certification Exam vouchers are only valid for exams with 70- and 78-prefix and are not valid for beta exams.
  3. One (1) exam voucher purchased can only be used to take one (1) exam once.
  4. The vouchers sold as part of this promotion are subject to Microsoft's exams voucher policies.
  5. Exam vouchers purchased as a part of this promotion have 6 months validity from date of purchase.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
  1. 1. You may return an Exam Voucher to Microsoft in case the Voucher is defective or in case you have been sent a voucher that does not comply with the specifications of your order: In such cases you will receive a replacement.
  2. If you wish to return a Voucher, you must inform Microsoft in writing by giving notice to  customer service. You are required to return any Voucher at your own cost, to the return address stipulated, and in accordance with any instructions given. The returned Voucher will be examined or your complaint will be investigated before notifying you of your entitlement to a replacement via e-mail within a reasonable period of time. Goods returned by you because of a defect will be replaced in full and sent to you free of charge, including a complete reimbursement for the delivery charges incurred by you in returning the item. Non defective goods will be returned to you at your own cost.
  3. Redemption Codes may only be returned if they are defective, e.g. they cannot be activated.
  4. Any resale and/or transfer of Vouchers is expressly prohibited. If altered in any way a Voucher will become void.
  5. Vouchers may not be redeemed for cash, credit, or refunds.
  6. Vouchers have an expiration date ("Order End Date"). Test candidates must redeem the Voucher and the exam must be taken prior to the Order End Date or the Voucher will become invalid. Expiration dates are 12 months from order date unless specified otherwise. Once a Voucher has expired, or has been used to register for an exam where a candidate does not show up for the exam, it cannot be extended or reinstated and the fee paid is forfeited.
  7. Vouchers are just like cash. You should safeguard them and are responsible for tracking their issuance to test candidates. Microsoft, Pearson VUE and the ATC are not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers or voucher numbers. Expired, stolen or lost vouchers will not be replaced. Pearson VUE and/or arvato do not provide redemption information to you.

Complimentary course refresher privilege is subject to seat availability on public course dates scheduled by New Horizons.

  1. Exam Pass Guarantee only applies to exams included under the procurement of a New Horizons' certification bundle purchase stated under the terms and conditions in the associated agreement.
  2. Exam Pass Guarantee only applies to students that have attended training under a New Horizons certification bundle.
  3. Exam Pass Guarantee entitles students to one (1) additional complimentary exam voucher per certification exam, should the student fail to pass the exam.
  4. Exam Pass Guarantee is only valid for 12 months from the original date of invoicing.
  5. Exam Pass Guarantees are non-transferable and non-cumulative.
  6. For the Exam Pass Guarantee to be valid students must follow the below process. Any deviation from this process invalidates rights to complimentary exam retake.
    1. Prior to taking an exam the student must complete the MeasureUp exam related to the official exam and provide New Horizons with a copy of the results.
    2. A New Horizons trainer will review the MeasureUp scores and, if appropriate, will provide confirmation that the student is sufficiently prepared to complete the official exam.
    3. The student may then organise and take the official exam. Should the student fail to pass the exam New Horizons will provide one (1) additional complimentary voucher to re-take the exam.

Standard Terms and Conditions:

  1. Special offer pricing and associated 'Guarantees' only apply to the certification bundles listed in the email
  2. MeasureUp exam preparation tools only apply to Exams 70-410, 70-411 and 70-462
  3. Special offer cannot be availed using New Horizons prepaid training coupons/vouchers
  4. Special offer cannot be availed in conjunction with any other specials or promotions
  5. Special offer only applies to New Horizons of Melbourne. All training must be attended at New Horizons of Melbourne.
  6. Special offer starts at 9am on 21st March, 2013 and ends at 5pm on 30th April, 2013

 

Exam Pass Guarantee Terms and Conditions:

  1. Additional complimentary exam voucher will only be provided should the student fail the initial exam
  2. Limit of one (1) additional complimentary exam voucher will be provided per student, per exam included in the purchased certification bundle
  3. Exam vouchers are non-transferrable and only apply to those exams included in the above mentioned certification bundles
  4. New Horizons trainers must confirm if students are ready to undertake the initial exam, prior to booking the exam, to qualify for the Exam Pass Guarantee

 

Employer Guarantee Terms and Conditions:

  1. Employer Guarantee is valid for 6 months from the date of the last training day completed by the initial individual
  2. Only the training and exams included in the original certification bundle purchased will be valid under the Employer Guarantee
  3. All training and exams must be completed within 12 months of the Employer Guarantee commencement
  4. For the Employer Guarantee to be honoured, sufficient evidence of employee resignation must be provided to New Horizons
  5. Employer Guarantee only applies to one (1) additional staff member
  1. Please note that ONE training voucher equates to ONE day of training at New Horizons Learning Centres.
  2. Vouchers may only be used for courses on the New Horizons’ public schedule. Vouchers may only be utilised for courses within their specified training portfolio, i.e. Desktop Applications, Graphic Design, Professional Development, or IT Technical. Please note that some courses may not be available using training vouchers. Please consult your Learning Solutions Advisor for further details.
  3. Vouchers purchased under this agreement are valid for 12 months from the date of payment. Vouchers will be available for use only after the payment has been received by New Horizons Learning Centres.
  4. Once invoiced, vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  5. Please have the course participant arrive at New Horizons’ premises 15 minutes prior to the course start time (9:00am) to ensure proper check-in and seating. Please note that if the participant arrives more than 30 minutes after the course start time, they will not be admitted into the course.
  6. Courses are offered to participants on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that seating is limited and we urge the participants to register for courses as soon as possible. Courses may be booked via your Learning Solutions Advisor on 02 8263 5900 or via our website. Please provide the participant’s name, email address, course date and course title.
  7. If a course is full, the participant may be placed on standby. They will be notified if a cancellation occurs and a place becomes available.
  8. Approximately, seven calendar days prior to the course date, the participant will be contacted by the New Horizons Registrar, via email, to confirm their attendance. We require a return email within 24 hours to confirm their attendance.
  9. Course Cancellations, Rescheduling & Transfers: See Course Cancellations, Rescheduling and Transfer Policy above.
  1. Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers (SATVs) can only be used to redeem New Horizons Learning Centres’ Microsoft IT Technical training courses. Some restrictions apply. Please consult your Learning Solutions Advisor for more information.
  2. All bookings for New Horizons Learning Centres’ courses must be supported with a customer completed and signed (by an authorised signatory) “Registration Form.”
  3. All bookings must be supported with a Microsoft SATV email. This email will state the email address to which SATVs are allocated to. It is the responsibility of the individual authorising the Registration Form to obtain and forward such documentation at the time the registration form is submitted. Following receipt of the completed Registration Form details, New Horizons Learning Centres will send a course confirmation letter to the attendee.
  4. The course booking registration is accepted subject to each course attendee meeting all the course prerequisites. The prerequisites are detailed on New Horizons Learning Centres’ course outlines. It is the  responsibility of the authoriser on the Registration Form to ensure that all prerequisites are met prior to the course.
    New Horizons Learning Centres  reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrolments, or  alter the date of any course, without any penalty to New Horizons.
  5. Any attendee or person unbecoming of conduct or disruptive to the orderly progress of the course may be asked to leave.
  6. New Horizons Learning Centres reserves the right to refuse customers who fail to meet our payment terms and conditions of business.
  7. All transfers or cancellations of a registration must be received in writing and signed by a duly authorised person from the nominating organisation.
  8. Cancellation of a registration for any of our IT technical courses requires at least TEN FULL working days written notification, to enable reallocation of place(s). If TEN FULL working days are not provided, the SATV will be deemed as consumed.
  9. The conditions of course prerequisites and payment PRIOR to course commencement apply to transfers.
  1. This certification track agreement is valid for 12 months from the date of payment, and all training and exams must be completed within the 12 months.
  2. Once invoiced, this certification track is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  3. New Horizons training vouchers may not be used towards the procurement of a certification track.
  4. Please note that this certification track is in accordance with the vendor requirements and is subject to change without any notice.
  5. Course participants need to arrive at New Horizons’ premises 15 minutes prior to the course start time (9:00am) to ensure proper check-in and seating. Please note
    that if participants arrive more than 30 minutes after the course start time, they will not be admitted into the course.
  6. Courses are offered to participants on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that seating is limited and we urge participants to register for courses as soon as possible. Courses may be booked via your Learning Solutions Advisor or via our website (www.nhaustralia.com.au). Please provide the participant’s name, email
    address, course date and course title upon registration.
  7. If a course is full, the participant may be placed on standby. They will be notified if a cancellation occurs and a place becomes available.
  8. Approximately SEVEN calendar days prior to the course date, the participant will be contacted by the New Horizons Registrar via email to confirm their attendance.
  9. We require a return email within 24 hours to confirm their attendance.
  10. In order to become certified, candidates must pass the related certification exams. New Horizons does not guarantee that candidates will pass their certification exams upon completion of courses. New Horizons will provide one exam voucher per exam for the number of exams in the certification agreement. Should the candidate fail
    an exam, the candidate may re-sit the exam as per the vendor’s guidelines. The fee for the re-sit exam will be payable by the candidate.
  11. Upon successfully passing all the required exams, the candidate will have obtained sufficient credits to qualify for certification from the vendor.
  12. If the participant cannot attend a course on the date for which they hold a reservation, more than TEN FULL business days of written notice is  required, prior to the date of the course to reschedule without a fee. Any course which is cancelled with TEN or less FULL business days of notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Please
    note that this also applies to the students who fail to attend the course on the day.
  13. New Horizons’ technical training courses come with a 12 month refresher guarantee. This means that a student who has taken a course at New Horizons is welcome to repeat that course at no additional charge for up to 12 months from the last day of the course. The student must bring the initially issued courseware to the repeat
    course. Failure to do so will incur a charge for the courseware to be reissued. Please note that the 12 month free repeat privilege does not apply to ITIL®, PRINCE2®
    and MSP® courses or certifications.
  14. New Horizons will make all attempts to run every publicly scheduled course. In the rare event that a publicly scheduled course does not run, you will be enrolled on the next scheduled date.
  • Club memberships begin from the date of the first course booked, or three (3) months from the invoice date.
  • New Horizons’ club memberships are exclusive to the enrollee and may not be transferred to another individual under any circumstance. Once invoiced, clubs are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Some courses may not be availed as part of the club purchased. Please consult your New Horizons Learning Solutions Advisor for further details.
  • All of New Horizons’ IT-related clubs fee do not include courseware. An administration fee of $110 per day will be charged for each course enrollment.
  • All payments must be received PRIOR to course commencement. Failure to pay will result in the participant being asked to leave the course and full fee payment for the club will be required.
  • Courses are offered to club members on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that seating is limited and we urge the participants to register for courses as soon as possible. Courses may be booked via your New Horizons Learning Solutions Advisor or via our website.
  • Please provide the participant’s name, email address, course date and course title upon registration. If a course is full, the participant may be placed on standby. They will be notified if a cancellation occurs and a place becomes available.
  • Club members are entitled to take any classes in their respective club. To ensure proper learning, participants must meet the prerequisites for the course (please consult your New Horizons Learning Solutions Advisor for further details).
  • As part of the club membership, participants receive access to a selected range of courses. New Horizons reserves the right to amend the courses covered by the respective club.
  • Participants have the option to renew their membership by paying 50% of the original membership fee two weeks prior to the expiry date of a club membership.
  • Approximately SEVEN calendar days prior to the course date, the participant will be contacted by the New Horizons Registrar, via email, to confirm their attendance. We require a return email within 24 hours to confirm their attendance.
  • The course participant must arrive at New Horizons’ premises at least 15 minutes prior to the course start time (9:00am) to ensure proper check-in and seating. Please note, that if the participant arrives more than 30 minutes after the course start time they will not be admitted into the course.
  • New Horizons will make all attempts to run every course publicly scheduled. In the rare case a publicly scheduled course does not run, the participant will be enrolled into the next available date. All courses may not be available during the club enrollment period.
  • The 12-month re-sit privilege is valid only during the term of the club. On date of club expiry, all re-sit privileges also expire.
  • If the participant cannot attend a course on the date for which they hold a reservation, more than TEN FULL business days of written notice is required prior to the date of the course to reschedule without a fee. Any course which is cancelled with TEN or less FULL business days of notice will incur the standard RRP of the course as a cancellation fee. Club membership will be suspended until payment of cancellation fee has been received by New Horizons. Please note that this also applies to the students who fail to attend the course on the day.
  • Cancellation, voluntary withdrawal or expulsion from the club following its commencement will incur the full club fee. New Horizons reserves the right to alter the course schedule without notice.
  • Course details (name, duration, price, etc.) are subject to change as per vendor guidelines.
  • All payments must be received PRIOR to course commencement. Failure to pay will result in the participant being asked to leave the course and full fee payment for the club will be required.
  • Participants accepted into a club must display business professional etiquette at all times whilst on New Horizons’ premises.

  2. Courses must be booked and paid for between 22 June and 31 July 2017.
