 About ITIL®:

ITIL® is the most widely adopted approach for IT Service Management in the world. It provides a practical, no-nonsense framework for identifying, planning, delivering and supporting IT services to the business. ITIL® advocates that IT services must be aligned to the needs of the business and underpin the core business processes.

As Australia's leading ITIL® training provider, New Horizons offers a comprehensive range of ITIL® training programs from foundation to intermediate levels.

 Which level are you?

ITIL® Foundation

 3 Days    $ 2,590

The Foundation level is the entry level certification and offers you a general awareness of the key elements, concepts and terminology used in the ITIL® service lifecycle, including the links between lifecycle stages, the processes used and their contribution to service management practices.

ITIL® Practitioner

 2 Days    $ 1,820

The ITIL® Practitioner course is the next logical step for individuals who have earned the ITIL Foundation Certificate and are familiar with the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of ITIL. ITIL Practitioner will focus on the ‘how’.

During the 2-day course, individuals, teams, and organisations will learn to address the challenges faced by them due to IT Service Management (ITSM) improvement initiatives.

ITIL® Intermediate

The modules within the ITIL Intermediate level are divided into two categories – Service Lifecycle and Service Capability.

Service Lifecycle modules are most relevant to those who have, or are looking for, a management or team leader role that requires management of different areas or work across different teams.

All the modules within the Service Lifecycle category are suitable for those intending to focus on the process and practice elements used, and the management capabilities needed to deliver quality Service Management practices.

Service Strategy (SS)

Service Design (SD)

 4 Days    $3,360

Service Transition (ST)

The Service Capability modules are most applicable to those who are looking to gain specialized, knowledge in one or more processes, with focus on the day-to-day execution of ITIL practices and how they interact.

ITIL® Expert

There are many possible combinations of modules from the ITIL framework available to those wishing to attain the ITIL Expert level, but there are some key requirements:

  • All candidates must hold the ITIL Foundation certificate or a Bridge qualification equivalent
  • Candidates must have earned a minimum total of 17 credits from the Foundation and Intermediate modules. See the ITIL Credit System for the complete guide on how to obtain your 17 credits.

Once the requirements are met The Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) module must then be taken and passed to achieve a total of 22 credits, which is the minimum required for ITIL Expert level.

ITIL® Master

The ITIL® Master qualification validates your ability to apply the principles, methods and techniques from ITIL in the workplace.

To achieve the ITIL Master Qualification, you must be able to explain and justify how you have personally selected and applied a range of knowledge, principles, methods and techniques from ITIL and supporting management techniques, to achieve desired business outcomes in one or more practical assignments.

Every ITIL Master candidate will select a different, personal range of experiences, so there is no fixed syllabus for this qualification. There is also no prescribed training course since the theory being tested will vary depending on the nature of the situation each candidate will choose.

To be eligible for the ITIL Master Qualification, you must:

  • have reached the ITIL Expert level; and
  • have worked in IT service management for at least five years in leadership, managerial, or higher management advisory levels.

In order to successfully qualify for the ITIL Expert level, you must ensure you have extensive practical 'hands-on' ITIL experience and can demonstrate active involvement in implementation of the practices.

 What's included in your training:

  • Access to a Learning Solutions Advisor to discuss training requirement
  • Hands-on training delivered by an ITIL® Master instructor
  • Printed official courseware material
