The Advanced Project Management workshop is designed to enhance your existing project management skills by giving you greater detail on the techniques and tools necessary to manage projects effectively and efficiently.
The workshop examines in detail, the nine knowledge areas and the five processes of project management as set out in The Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide®) 2004, produced by the Project Management Institute. This essential knowledge is a necessary part to gaining the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
This course is also an important enhancement on the skills learned by participants of our Project Management Fundamentals course.
Target Audience:
This workshop is aimed at participants who have mastered the planning process, are experienced with all aspects of the discipline, and are now looking for ways to effectively manage projects. The program is designed for Technical specialists/engineers moving into a project management/team leadership role, or working for a project manager, Project Managers wishing to formalise their skills and/or to revisit fundamental principles and Project Team Members.
Pre-requisites:
Students enrolling in this class should have the following: Experience in reading and analysing outputs from scheduling software such as Microsoft® Project; Experience in managing projects; Project Management fundamentals.
