Computer Vision is one of the hottest technologies in Artificial Intelligence right now. This technology allows computer to understand and label images which is widely used in today life. Computer vision has significant applications in big industries such as retail, automotive, health care, agriculture and banking. To this end, computer vision is increasingly becoming a needed tool in different domains. Top IT leader companies such as Amazon, google, Microsoft and IBM are investing billions of dollars in computer vision research and product development. 

This course will teach you the basic concepts of computer vision and how to analyse images using the computer vision services presented by these companies. You will learn the differences between the output of these models and real-world scenarios that use both technologies to analyse and score images. When standard vision models can't do what you want, we will teach you how to program your custom vision models. You will be introduced to the work of deep learning for applying image attribute transfer.  

 

This is a Premium New Horizons course. This course usually runs in a connected classroom, and students need to bring their own device.

This module provides an overview of Computer Vision technologies with Microsoft, Google and Watson. In the lab you will learn how to set up everything you need to get the results you want.

Lessons:

  • Computer Vision with Microsoft - This service involves: face detection, object detection, Image analysing, image annotation, text detection, handwriting detection, celebrity recognition, video analysing and captioning, properties and safe search.
  • Computer Vision with Google - This service involves: face detection, object detection, image annotation, produce web entities, text detection, properties and safe search)
  • Computer Vision with Watson - This service involves: face detection, object detection, Image analysing, image annotation, text detection, food detection and safe search.
  • Computer Vision with Amazon - This service involves: face detection, object detection, Image analysing, image annotation, text detection, handwriting detection, celebrity recognition, human path capturing in video and safe search.

This module provides an overview on Azure Custom Vision Service. Azure Custom Vision Service is a Microsoft Cognitive Services product for tagging images using your custom computer vision model. Flow, the back-office automation tool for Office 365 allows you to call your vision models, and store the predictions for analysis.
